Pulchritudinous Logo

According to the Chinese calendar, 2008 is the year of rat. So...before we move on to the logo….All hail the mooshika, I will never ever leave a cyanide coated cheese morsel lying under my bed this year.
If you observe closely enough (provided that you are not colour blind) you will notice 3 different colours…red, yellow, black in our logo. For the next couple of sentences I will be blabbing about the relevance of the use of these colours and things of the sort…you may skip to the last paragraph on how red Ferraris drive if colours is not your thing. So, let’s start of with RED, Red is a very emotionally intense colour. A look at it enhances our metabolism, increases respiration rate, and raises blood pressure. And of course, red also symbolises courage and bravery. At Utsav we guarantee the increased respiration rate and blood pressure. Courage and bravery is something you have to come in with. YELLOW produces a warming effect, arouses cheerfulness, stimulates mental activity, and generates muscle energy. With 4 days of hardcore competition. You will need all the muscle energy you can get, either from ATP generation or staring at the yellow in the utsav logo. Keep staring. BLACK is associated with power, elegance, formality. Apart from this symbolic purpose of using black...we put it there because it looked cool.
The overall aesthetic of the logo is contemporary. Yet it retains an old world ‘traditional-ish’ feel in it. This is because of the ‘swirly curly’ pattern in yellow and at the same time the arrangement of the logo objects is symmetrical and elegant. Above all the logo inspires us with the power of sun.
For all those who referred to the meaning of pulchritudinous and were about to comment that it is being wrongly used here. The logo has enough life in it for us to make its equivalence with a person.
